CALDWELL -- Former Canyon County Prosecutor John Bujak's latest court case has been declared a mistrial.

Bujak was on trial for allegations that he created false evidence.

The judge declared a mistrial because Bujak did not disclose some of his evidence to the prosecution.

In a statement, Bujak says he thought he had the right not to disclose those materials.

He apologized to everyone involved and thanked the jurors. The case will likely be retried.

Bujak is also scheduled to go on trial for a separate charge of misuse of public funds in March.
