BOISE -- The head football coach of Kuna High School says a wide receiver struck in play during last night's game against Bishop Kelly is in the hospital experiencing paralysis.

Head Coach Lee Leslie says Boone Bartlome was awake and breathing when he was loaded into an ambulance last night.

Coach Leslie said that Boone injured his C-4 vertebrae and couldn't move his legs or arms. But today he reports that Boone does have some feeling in his arms and moved his toe.

He says that people should know Boone is an amazing student and the community support is appreciated.

A rally is planned at Kuna High on Monday at 3:30 p.m.

We'll update this story on air and online as new information becomes available.
