TWIN FALLS -- Sheriff's deputies say one of the Coeur d'Alene teens killed in a crash near Twin Falls last weekend was texting a friend moments before the crash.

The crash on Clover Road, near U.S. Highway 30 killed Devon Austin, 19, and Ryan Reinhardt, 18, early Sunday morning.  Both graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 2010.

Reinhardt was behind the wheel of the 1998 Toyota Camry.

A third Coeur d'Alene resident, 19-year-old Jessica Duran, suffered minor injuries in the crash.  She was treated and released from St. Luke's Regional Medical Center.

Authorities say Devon Austin was texting a friend moments before the crash, saying they were being chased by another vehicle and involved in a road rage incident.

Deputies say the three may have been involved in a fight at a party that night, and were chased by another vehicle after leaving the party.

Deputies say excessive speed and alcohol are believed to be factors.

Austin was a freshman on the baseball team at College of Southern Idaho.  He played basketball and baseball for Coeur d'Alene High School.  Reinhardt played football for Coeur d'Alene.
