COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho -- A Coeur d'Alene elementary school teacher has won a $255,000 house in a North Idaho College raffle.
About 2,000 people turned out to watch the drawing Wednesday night on campus. But the grand prize winner, Debbi Hahn was not there.
NIC Foundation Executive Director Rayelle Anderson called Hahn and told her that she had won the house with the single $100 ticket that she bought.
The Coeur d'Alene Press reports that Hahn purchased the ticket with money that her mother had given her for yard supplies. She says she and her family will decide what to do with the new home after the shock wears off.
