POST FALLS -- Kootenai County Fire investigators have determined there is no evidence of cause in the fire that destroyed a Post Falls mansion.

An accelerant sniffing dog found petroleum products, which lab results determined to be lamp oil. The owners of the home had said they had several antique lamps at their home.

Officials say oil is not a fire accelerant and would not be used by someone trying to burn down the home.

The cause of the house fire is officially undetermined. Officials are done investigating scene.

Real estate records show the mansion has been in foreclosure since last March and the Wallaces, who owned the home, stopped paying the mortgage in November 2010.

Court records show the Wallaces filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last August, the second bankruptcy case the family has opened in Kootenai County.
