HAILEY -- A central Idaho man who caused an accident that killed a well-known Hailey woman has been sentenced to nine months in jail, two years probation, and had his driving privileges suspended for 10 years.

Twenty-nine-year-old Cody Williams Stevens of Richfield was sentenced Monday in 5th District Court.

Stevens last month pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter in the death of 53-year-old Bertilia Lyn Redfern.

Police say Stevens' truck swerved into oncoming traffic on state Highway 75 last March, causing the vehicle driven by Redfern to collide with another vehicle.
