ABERDEEN, Idaho -- Human remains discovered in the American Falls Reservoir in southern Idaho early last month continue to puzzle investigators searching for an identity.

The remains were found in the Snake River slackwater on Nov. 3 and law enforcement officials believe they could belong to a fisherman who disappeared here in 2009.

But so far, efforts to find dental records that might help authorities match them to a victim have been unsuccessful.

The Bingham County Sheriff's Office sent the remains to a medical examiner in Boise.

Charles Knipp was scheduled to return from a fishing trip in June 2009, but his wife reported that he never came home.

The 38-year-old Aberdeen man's bass boat was found, undamaged.

His truck was also located.

But divers searching for Knipp failed to locate his body.
