IDAHO FALLS -- An Idaho Falls man who police say injured his 2-month-old son by shaking him has been taken into custody on two counts of aggravated battery.
Police say 30-year-old Frederick Russell Kern was arrested Thursday.
Police say the child on Sept. 9 was taken to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center and then flown to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
Authorities say the child sustained injuries consistent with shaken-baby syndrome.
