BOISE -- Officers with the Idaho State Police report helping a 27-year-old woman from her car after she veered off Highway 55 and onto an iced-over section of the Payette River Monday.

ISP dispatchers tells us the river was frozen, and she was "lucky" she and her car didn't break through the ice.

That crash was just off Highway 55 between Gardena and Lower Banks.

The woman was taken to the Saint Al's in Boise, with what they believe were minor injuries.
