CALDWELL - Officers with the Idaho State Police are investigating an accident involving a farm truck and a small passenger car in Canyon County on Thursday afternoon.
The head-on crash occurred at Perch Road and Locust Lane and was reported to dispatch at 1:27 p.m.
According to Idaho State Police, 33-year-old Julie Israelsen from Nampa was heading west on Locust Lane when she veered into the eastbound lane into the path of a dump truck, resulting in a head on collision.
The Marsing Fire Department was the first to arrive on scene and had to cut Israelsen out of her 2000 Saturn SC.
Israelsen was transported by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise. A passenger in the dump truck was transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical in Caldwell. The driver of the truck was not taken to the hospital.
The road was closed for approximately two hours. The crash remains under investigation.
