BOISE -- Saturday was great day to be outside and that's exactly the message Be Outside, Idaho! wants to send.

Unplug and Be Outside encourages Idaho families to improve their physical, mental and emotional health by getting off the couch and getting outside.

They partner with several agencies to offer more than 100 free or low-cost activities in Boise, Nampa, Meridian and Caldwell.

One such event is being held this weekend at the World Center for Birds of Prey.

"This is one of the most beautiful weekends we've had so far this year," said Jessica Cate with the World Center for Birds of Prey. "So it's definitely a good opportunity."

Other Unplug and Be Outside activities include rock climbing, art classes, tennis and golf lessons. Activities continue throughout the week.
