BOISE -- A cancer survivor and others impacted by cancer are on a cross-country bike trip and Sunday they made it to Boise.
Exhausted from their 58th day of riding, the group rested at the Capitol City Christian Church.
The 27 college students and recent grads are part of a group called 4K For Cancer and they're raising money for the Ullman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.
Each person has to raise $4,500 before riding. The money goes to help young adults battling cancer, a cause near and dear to each of the riders.
"All of us have some sort of direct connection to cancer," said Kevin Cochran, who was riding with 4K For Cancer. "Myself, I actually did this ride two years ago and while I was on the the ride one of my best friends from high school was diagnosed and she recently beat cancer, which is really great."
The group is taking 70 days to ride from Baltimore, Maryland to Portland, Oregon.
Overall, the organization has raised almost $500,000.
