BOISE -- The Boise Fire Department and the Bureau of Land Management responded to a grass fire that started off of Blacks Creek Road several miles south of Interstate 84 Friday afternoon.
The fire is estimated to have burned around 150 to 250 acres, but crews hope to get a better number Saturday when they can map the acreage out.
Boise Fire responded with six brush trucks, one water tender, and one battalion chief, where as BLM responded with two battalion chiefs, one engine, and one dozer.
BLM says the fire was contained around 8:00 p.m. and was controlled around 1:00 Saturday afternoon.
The cause is still under investigation.
