BOISE -- A familiar face showed up at Capitol Park on Wednesday for the annual, state controller picnic.
Former State Controller Donna Jones talked with KTVB about her continuing recovery since her car crash back in May 2012.
Jones was 73-years-old when she rolled her SUV and broke 14 bones in her body.
She told KTVB she has lots of scars, but that she's not finished serving the community quite yet.
"I think the good Lord has just said, 'Okay, let's have you work a little harder on helping others,'" said Jones. "So I'm sure I was saved so I could help other people. And that's what I'm going to do."
Jones was also glad to meet up with many of her old friends and colleagues. "It's so much fun to see them again. I miss them," said Jones. "I definitely was not ready to retire."
KTVB will sit down with Jones again, in studio. Her interview is set to air on Viewpoint, Sunday at 9 a.m. on Newschannel-7.
