KETCHUM -- A former Sun Valley city administrator has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the city.

The Idaho Mountain Express reports that Sharon Hammer filed the lawsuit earlier this month against the city, Mayor Dewayne Briscoe and Councilman Nils Ribi.

Hammer contends she was deprived of rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Boise.

The city council in January 2012 terminated hammer's contract with the city but stated no cause.

The lawsuit lists 14 points, including gender discrimination and harassment, retaliation and civil conspiracy.

Kirtlan Naylor, representing the city, says the defendants deny the claims and will strenuously defend the case.
