BOISE -- A new development in a nearly two-year-old case out of Payette County.

A complaint for personal injury was filed on behalf of Former Payette County Deputy Scott Sloan against the estate of Barry Johnson.

In October 2011, Barry Johnson died when Deputy Scott Sloan crashed into his Jeep while responding to a possible home invasion call.

Johnson tried to turn left into his own driveway as Sloan attempted to pass him.

Sloan was investigated, and cleared of any charges.

Now he has filed a complaint against Johnson claiming his negligent

Earlier this month, Johnson's daughter also filed a lawsuit against Idaho State Police, Payette County Sheriff and Sloan, claiming there was negligence, misconduct, and possibly even a cover-up.
