NAMPA, Idaho -- The Nampa Fire Department responded to a plane crash at the Nampa Airport around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Officials say the plane crashed between the airport's runways.
They also say it is unknown if the pilot was trying to land or take-off, but confirm there were two men inside.
Nampa Deputy Fire Chief Doug Strosnider says one man was outside of the plane when he arrived, and another was still inside the plane. Strosnider says firefighters had to go inside the plane and get the man.
"The one gentleman wasn't injured nearly as severe as the other one," Strosnider said. "The other one, we're waiting to hear an update from the hospital on him."
Both men were taken to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise with unknown injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will follow up the investigation Friday.
The Nampa Airport was temporarily shut down while crews cleared the debris away.
