BOISE -- It took only a few minutes for firefighters to extinguish a brush fire that sparked along Intertate 84 Sunday afternoon.
The fire broke out just after 3 p.m. on the right side of the interstate near Cloverdale Road.
One westbound lane was closed, and traffic slowed while firefighters attacked the flames.
A fence bordering a nearby neighborhood was damaged, but thanks to firefighters' quick response, no homes were.
