GARDEN CITY -- A woman's body that was found in the Boise River near Plantation golf course on Wednesday evening has been identified.

Ada County Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg says the woman is 19-year-old Kylie Bierlich. The cause of death is listed as drowning. An autopsy on the body today found no injuries or trauma.

A missing persons report for Bierlich was filed on Aug. 24, 2012. Sonnenberg says the case is being investigated as a possible suicide.

Garden City Police Sgt. Robert Little says two people found the body while they were kayaking. Police were called to the scene at 7:18 p.m. The body was found in a thicket of shrubs and brush.

The body was removed from the river just after 9 p.m.

The Greenbelt was closed for around two hours while police were on scene.
