The Jerome County sheriff is advising Magic Valley farmers to look out for their neighbors' property after a rash of copper thefts.

The sheriff says thieves have been removing copper wire from pivots on farmers' irrigation sprinklers.

One farmer reported $35,000 worth of damage from a recent theft.

Jerome County deputies will be patrolling for suspicious activity.

They ask you to call the sheriff's office if you know anything about the recent thefts, or if you see anything suspicious.
