EAGLE -- Mayor James Reynolds focused on the future in his State of the City address.
Reynolds gave the address Tuesday morning and pushed for Eagle to become a "City of Adventure," calling for new infrastructure north of the city near the Avimor development.
Reynolds also discussed building an industrial complex in the area, a plan that could bring thousands of jobs to the city of Eagle. "You're talking about almost 10,000 jobs. What a boom that would be to our valley. These are not just flipping burger wages. These are skilled professionals."
Reynolds stressed the need to increase industry in the city. Saying that currently, Eagle is about 80 percent homes to just 20 percent industrial and commercial. He'd like to get that number closer to 65 percent homes and 35 percent business.
If you'd like to watch Mayor Reynolds' address, it'll be broadcast on Idaho's Very Own 24/7 on Wednesday at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 8 p.m.
