EAGLE -- Imagine if a tree fell on your car, or you drove into a canal. How would rescue crews get you out? What tools would they use?
On Saturday, firefighters from around the valley got together to hone their extrication skills.
They played out real life scenarios that have happened to people in the valley this year. Then, with the help of national expert instructors, they used the skills and tools to get a victim out of a crushed car.
The drill was hosted by Eagle Fire Department.
"We are very fortunate to be hosting this and then also very proud to open it up to other departments in the valley," said Bill Stone, an Eagle firefighter.
The instructors travel around the country providing these extrication lessons.
