BOISE -- Deputies say a Kuna man arrested for felony burglary earlier this week was using the identity of a man who died in a motorcycle accident in California.

Larry Goodine, 37, admitted to stealing the identify of Michael Kinser, a California man who died in a motorcycle accident last year, according to the Ada County Sheriff's Office.

Goodine was arrested on Saturday in Meridian after authorities received a tip about a suspiciuos man entering a barn. He later confessed to trying to steal scrap metal, according to reports.

Authorities soon realized Goodine wasn't who he claimed to be.

They say he confessed to using Michael Kinser's identity for several years -- even before the California man died -- and also had an Arizona driver's license with Kinser's name.

Goodine told police he was using the identity to avoid a warrant out of Arkansas. He was charged Thursday with a felony count of being a fugitive to Idaho.

Additional charges are pending.
