NAMPA -- Canyon County Coroner Vicki DeGeuss-Morris has determined that a man who was found dead after a five-hour standoff with police Saturday at a Nampa apartment complex, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The deceased man has been identified as 32-year-old Andrew Frank. His body was found in the bedroom after a SWAT team forced entry into the Brookside Apartments around 7:45 p.m.

Numerous shots were fired by police and the suspect during the Saturday afternoon standoff. Negotiators with the Nampa Police Department made several attempts to make contact with Frank, but were unsuccessful.

The Idaho State Police is leading the investigating into the shooting.
