MERIDIAN -- More than 100 people came to a town hall with Congressman Raul Labrador. Meridian City Hall was full of people who came to listen to a presentation from the Representative Labrador and ask him questions.
He focused on three issues: gun control, immigration, and the economy. Labrador said he's gotten a lot of feedback from folks in Idaho on President Obama's gun control proposals. He said people are worried about protecting their Second Amendment rights.
"I think if you look at the proposals a lot of them are issues that we just need to enforce the laws that are currently on the books. And the proposals that he has that need to pass through Congress, he can't even get it passed out of the Senate," said the Congressman.
Labrador is a member of the Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security. He said there is a desire to fix the immigration system.
