BOISE -- The Boise City Council is once again taking up the issue of aggressive and unsafe panhandling.
Council members will hold a public hearing next Tuesday for two new ordinances.
Two months ago the Boise City Council talked about the issue, but decided to hold off.
We're told two of the three ordinances proposed in May have been re-worked into one new one.
The first new ordinance places additional restrictions on solicitation in specific locations.
The second one prohibits sitting and lying on sidewalks.
A statement from the City of Boise says the ordinances expand the city's "Have and Heart, Give Smart" campaign, which encourages charitable donations to non-profit organizations rather than individuals who are often not homeless.
