BOISE -- Christmas came a bit early to the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise.
It's all part of Operation "Camouflage Christmas," where members of the Idaho Air Guard, Idaho Army Guard plus Navy and Marine Reserve units from Gowen Field deliver Christmas gifts to vets.
Nearly 500 gifts were placed around the Christmas tree in the Home's dining room.
Many of the service members will return to help the vets open their gifts at a Christmas party on Friday afternoon.
Beginning back in July, members of all services began working to make this annual gift-giving event possible.
