MERIDIAN -- Firefighters in Meridian had a rather difficult fire to put out Tuesday morning.

About half a dozen firefighters had to carefully crawl on top of the home to put out a chimney fire.

Firefighters say someone driving by saw flames and smoke shooting out of the chimney of the home near the Chinden Boulevard and Locust Grove Road intersection.

Crews arrived and notified the homeowner who said he didn't know his chimney was on fire.

It took fire crews about 30 minutes to put out the flames.

No damage was done to the house and no one was injured.
