BOISE -- A new set of changes is coming to Boise's proposed taxicab ordinance.
Back in January, the city council postponed change to the ordinance because of he many concerns raised by taxi drivers.
Now the council wants to make additional changes, including increasing the service age limit of taxis to seven years.
Other changes include a requirement that criminal background checks be performed on both those who apply to run a taxi business, and those who apply to drive the cabs.
Rules that will stay the same include the requirement that taxicab drivers must be able to speak English, and that taxi debit/credit cards must be accepted in all cabs.
The revised ordinance is expected to be read on May 9th at the Boise City Council.
