BOISE -- A car crashed into the side of the Key Bank building Tuesday afternoon, closing down Capitol Boulevard and Idaho Street in downtown Boise.
Boise Police say around 3:30 p.m. a 70-year-old woman driving a gold Honda ran several red lights before hitting a Toyota Camry with a 20-year-old woman and her grandmother inside. The Honda then crashed through the glass windows of the building.
The driver of the Honda and the grandmother were taken to the hospital. Police say no one inside the building was hurt.
Officials believe the driver that caused the accident may have had a medical crisis at the time of the crash.
The portion of the building that was damaged is currently under construction and unoccupied.
The lower section of the Key Bank Building was evacuated.
No citations have been issued at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
