FAIRFIELD -- The fourth-annual Camas County Rodeo found hometown cowboys and cowgirls in action on Friday, July 13.
The Rodeo is an Idaho Cowboys Association (ICA) sponsored event, which means it offers competitors a chance to score points in a ranked system.
Competitors had eight events to pick from, including hometown bullriding, mutton-busting, calf-roping, and other rodeo classics.
The day's smoky, overcast weather brough an interesting glow to the arena during the evening's action. Intermittent rain peppered riders as they stomped and kicked their way to victory.
The rodeo resumes on Saturday, July 14th at 6 p.m.
Music and and a street dance are scheduled afterward in downtown Fairfield.
