BOISE -- Nearly 1,800 new jobs are expected to pop up around the Treasure Valley in the coming years. A job fair was held on Saturday to tell prospective employees all about the growth.
MAXIMUS, the company that operates government health and human services programs under contract, is recruiting customer service representatives for a call center it is opening in Garden City. It's expected to make its debut on the Hewlett Packard Company complex.
"We can help a lot of people with their job search, because a lot of people have been looking for a long time," said Barbara Schafer, a Senior Specialist at Human Capital MAXIMUS. "And as you can see today, we have had a great turnout with people looking for work."
The new call center is expected to operate Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. And employees will handle and answer consumer inquiries from across the United States and its territories.
