BOISE -- A Caldwell man who pleaded guilty to involuntary vehicular manslaughter for his role in a crash that killed a 64-year-old motorcyclist in Eagle last August will spend 30 days in jail.
On Thursday, Magistrate Judge Thomas Watkins sentenced 28-year-old Tyler James Campbell to 365 days in jail, of which 335 were suspended. He must serve two years of probation upon his release, and will be issued a restricted driver's license for the next four years.
Campbell will also pay a fine of $152.50 and $2,729.37 in restitution.
Police say Campbell was driving a Ford F-250 pickup that broad-sided Arthur Peter Zottarelli on the morning of Aug. 27, 2012, near the 4100 block of West State Street.
Investigators say Campbell attempted to make a left turn across several lanes of traffic, and then struck Zottarelli's motorcycle.
The 64-year-old died on impact.
