CALDWELL -- Caldwell Police Street Crime Unit Detectives, working with the FBI's Metro Violent Crime Task Force and the U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested two men Wednesday afternoon -- one for three outstanding warrants and the other on various drug charges.

Responding to anonymous tip, authorities attempted to contact Nicolas Medina, 29, of Caldwell, who was wanted on three outstanding warrants. After detective tried to stop Medina, near the 4200 block of East Cleveland, he ran into a nearby business where he was later apprehended.

Ruben Reyna, 26, also from Caldwell, was in the car Medina was traveling in when detectives tried to make contact.  Reyna, a documented gang member, was found with over 100 grams of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia when authorities searched the car.

Both are currently in Canyon County Jail.  Medina was arrested on three outstanding warrants and Reyna is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, delivery of a controlled substance by a gang member and possession drug paraphernalia.
