BOISE -- For the second time this year someone has stolen the stained-glass butterfly from the statue outside Boise's Women's and Children's Alliance building near 8th and Washington streets in downtown Boise.

The butterfly, created by the Boise Sculptures Guild was vandalized in March.

It was later returned and spotted by a man while walking his dog outside the WCA building.

Earlier today, the WCA discovered the butterfly was missing again, but they weren't sure if the contractor took it back for more maintenance.

We got a call this afternoon confirming that the butterfly was gone and the WCA has filed a police report.
