BURNS, Ore. -- A Burns, Oregon man has died from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash on Highway 205 Saturday afternoon.
Oregon State Police is continuing their investigation into the crash that claimed the life of 62-year-old James Reeves.
Investigators say Reeves was southbound on Highway 205 on a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he crossed into the northbound lanes and flipped several times before coming to rest in a ditch. The accident happened near milepost 8, about 10 miles south of Burns. A passing motorist alerted police around 5 p.m. The crash is believed to have occurred 15 minutes before it was reported.
Harney County EMS responded to the crash where Reeves was critically injured. He was ejected off the bike and was wearing a helmet. Reeves was taken to Harney District Hospital where he later died.
