EAGLE – Ada County Sheriff’s deputies and Eagle Police officers are urging the public to be on the lookout for a bull that got loose on the Greenbelt in Eagle this morning. The bull was last spotted east of Eagle Road.
Officers say the bull broke through a fence at ranch near the Greenbelt around 9 a.m.
The search is focused along the pathway near Merrill Park in Eagle. There is a lot of trees and brush in that area, making for good cover.
The owners of the bull are working with police to recover the animal.
Earlier, cowhands and officers were able to wrangle a loose cow in the same area.
Authorities say the bull may be in the Boise River trying to swim back to the pasture he got out of this morning.
Anyone who sees the bull is urged to call police dispatch at 377-6790.
