Wide receiver Austin Pettis, who broke his ankle on Nov. 28 against Nevada, worked out with the team. He had a noticeable limp. Coach Pete says it will be a game time decision on whether Pettis will play in the Fiesta Bowl.
That will make two more practices here than their opponents. TCU arrived at Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport just after three this afternoon.
TCU head coach Gary Patterson said his team is happy to be in the Fiesta Bowl despite some media reports to the contrary. His team will be playing they know well. They met in the 2008 Poinsettia Bowl and the Horned Frogs won 17-16.
We spoke with BSU President Bob Kustra today about this year's game versus the team's first Fiesta Bowl trip in 2007. He said this is one more opportunity for the Broncos to succeed. Kustra is hobbled a bit, as he recently broke an ankle.
Many of the fans still aren't here. Most should be arriving sometime this weekend and there will be a lot more blue and orange in the desert.
