BOISE -- Ada County dispatchers say an ABC taxi cab was stolen at gunpoint overnight.

A dispatcher for ABC Taxi says the driver picked two men up at the Burger King on Fairview Avenue, between Milwaukee Street and Maple Grove Road around 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Later, the passenger pulled a gun on the driver when they got to Meridian and forced him into the passenger seat.

The man said they took his wallet and phone and dropped him off along Shaw Mountain Road.

The ABC Taxi dispatcher says the driver then walked about a mile to a hospital and called police. That was around 4 a.m.

The red 2012 Kia Soul taxi was located in downtown Boise around 9 a.m. A dispatcher with ABC Taxi says it was found near St. Luke's.

The Boise Police Department is investigating the carjacking.
