BOISE -- Boise's Fairmont Pool is open again after what we've learned was the fourth incident of vandalism and second burglary there in the past six months.
The pool was closed Wednesday morning until 7 p.m. after employees at the pool found that someone had sprayed two fire extinguishers into the water.
Also, someone had smashed a window and rifled through the offices.
Repairs and cleanup cost $2,500, and the crime temporarily took away a valued gathering place.
"That pool is only open for about three more weeks. We start closing the pools soon, so any lost day is a sad thing for neighborhood kids," said Boise Parks and Recreation community relations manager Amy Stahl.
She also told us that alarms and surveillance cameras are going in - to help prevent future crimes at the pool.
As for what happened this week, police want your tips and ask you to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS, if you have any information.
