BOISE -- Two Boise residents are in the Ada County Jail on felony burglary charges, and police have named both as suspects in an alleged theft ring.

Boise Police say Peggy Williams, 47, and Lex Lowman, 49, are suspected of entering a store near the Boise Towne Square mall and stuffing a stereo into a duffel bag on March 13.

Officers say the two then removed the store's security device, and then left the store without paying for the stereo.

After further investigation into the stereo theft, police say evidence they collected supports the idea that Williams and Lowman may have been working with other criminals in a theft crime ring.

According to police, over the past several months, more than a dozen local retail stores have had items stolen that could be connected to Williams and Lowman.

Police say further charges are pending in this case, and other suspects are still being investigated.
