BOISE -- A Boise man must spend at least 15 years in prison for killing his infant son.
Twenty-year-old Reynaldo Lucas Sanchez pleaded guilty to a charge of first-degree murder last December.
Sanchez's son, Adrien, died from head injuries he suffered on Dec. 16, 2011. The baby was nearly three-months old at the time of his death.
Sanchez told police the boy had fallen out of an infant bouncy seat, but investigators determined the injuries were not consistent with such a fall.
Fourth District Judge Timothy Hansen gave Sanchez a life sentence, but he will be eligible for parole after 15 years. The judge also gave him credit for the 481 days he's served in jail since his arrest.
