BOISE -- The Boise State Broncos are receiving some unique exposure in the Big Apple and it is creating quite the buzz in the City of Trees.
The Big East Conference posted photos on its Facebook page Tuesday of a massive rotating billboard in Times Square welcoming each new member to the conference. Boise State is one of those schools.
Chuck Sullivan, Director of Communications for the Big East Conference, explained that the billboards are shown eight times per hour, for 30 seconds at a time.
Sullivan tells KTVB that the space is provided by American Eagle Outfitters, a primary corporate sponsor of the conference.
He said this billboard is just one example of the kind of exposure that teams in the Big East receive.
"I think part of the attraction of the Big East might be the markets we are in," said Sullivan. "New York City is certainly prominent, we are able to expose our members to those areas and it's certainly one of our calling cards."
Ever since the billboards began rotating Tuesday morning, Bronco Nation has been flooding the Big East Conference's Facebook wall with support for the blue and orange.
Sullivan added that the Big East is thrilled at the response they are getting by having Boise State join the conference.
