BOISE -- The Boise Sesquicentennial shop is starting a year-long series of exhibits and entertainment, and it kicks off Thursday night.
The shop, located at 1008 Main Street in Boise, will have a different theme for each month, starting tomorrow with "Collect Boise." January's exhibit is a community-curated exhibit of local artifacts and keepsakes. The items range from piece of the original city hall, to pictures, to old theater programs. It took folks from all over Boise to put it together.
"We had a call out for community members, anyone living in Boise who has collections or old family memorabilia or artifacts, to come in and help curate this show," said Rachel Reichert, who is in charge of the project.
The exhibit is open Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., coinciding with First Thursday. It is free to the public. The "Collect Boise" exhibit will be up until January 24.
