BOISE -- Now that Thanksgiving is over-- people are setting their sights on the Christmas holiday, with Boise's traditional Holiday Parade on Saturday.
But unfortunately, not everyone will be able to make it down to the parade route.
KTVB was at St. Luke's Hospital Friday, where staff and Grant Petersen with Bronco Motors were handing out lanyards with bells to the children.
Similar bells will be handed out to kids on the parade route Saturday, so everyone can participate together.
"I think its special this time of year and so fourth where you're cooped up inside a hospital room where you can be able to take part in something and be interactive in something that's really going on, right down the street, literally," said Petersen.
The holiday parade will start at 9:45 a.m. in the heart of downtown Boise.
The theme this year is "Idaho Christmas through the Years".
If you cannot watch the parade live in person, you can watch it from home. We will bring you all the sights and sounds of the parade live right here on Idaho's Very Own Newschannel 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
If you are coming to the parade, bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Salvation Army.
They will be gathering toys along the parade route.
