BOISE -- Boise State University says it will not be hosting a BCS announcement event this year.

A B-S-U spokesman says the football team wants to keep the focus on Saturday's game against New Mexico State.

The Bronco football team is dedicated to winning the outright WAC Championship first before focusing on a bowl game.

Three years ago, when the Broncos were called to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, fans packed Taco Bell Arena to hear the big announcement.

20-thousand fans ended up traveling to Arizona for the game.

Since the beginning of the season there's been consistent talk about rankings and the BCS.

Most of the season the Broncos have chosen to ignore the talk, but with one week left in the season their head coach is in some ways finally embracing the B-C-S talk.

"You know at this point I don't see it as much as a distraction, but more so as a motivation because it's right in front of us. We have to play we have to win, that's how big this game is." said Chris Petersen, BSU Head Football Coach.
