GARDEN CITY, Idaho -- Sunday, artists of all kinds rallied in support of the Garden City Library in the first ever, "Artistic Taste of Garden City."
Artists gathered on Chinden Boulevard, showcasing everything from food and wine, to paintings, sculptures and glass blowing.
This is a first for the Garden City Foundation, who put on this event to help support programs for their local library.
"Art always needs to have a mechanism for others to enjoy and appreciate, and so does reading," said Jim Owens with the Garden City Foundation. "This a perfect coming together of the role of the Library and opening up another page for people to appreciate."
Tours were also held in the Library's mobile library van -- a fun experience that promotes childhood literacy by "bringing the library and books to kids."
