BURLEY, Idaho -- The Minidoka County sheriff's office says a 21-year-old Burley man was shot to death over the weekend and another man was arrested on suspicion of killing him.
Michael Kenneth Blair was found dead in a vehicle during a traffic stop early Saturday. Officials say a deputy responding to a report of a possible drunken driver stopped a car being driven by 24-year-old Michael Jared Thompson.
Sheriff's officials say a female covered with blood got out of the car and officers found Blair's body when they searched the vehicle.
Thompson was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder.
Sheriff Kevin Halverson says the shooting remains under investigation. He declined further comment on Sunday.
