IDAHO FALLS, Idaho -- Officials in Jefferson County say four anglers are recovering after their drift boat was pulled through the headgates of an irrigation dam on the South Fork of the Snake River.

The accident happened at the Great Feeder headgates about 7 p.m. Thursday.

All four were helped out of the water by other fishermen just below the headgates. Twenty-one-year-old Devin Bergman suffered compound fracture to her leg and was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Two others were treated for cuts and bruises on the water's edge.

Officials say the drift boat was totaled. None of the four was wearing a life jacket.
