BOISE -- Ada County Highway Department did not approve the city's request to put parking enforcement sensors in the streets of downtown Boise.
The sensors would alert parking enforcement to when meters expire, while a car is still parked in the spot.
At the Wednesday commission meeting, ACHD disapproved the sensor installation. Two commissioners voted yes and three voted no, however they told KTVB the sensors aren't completely out of the question.
The city may still put them on parking meter poles, just not embed them in the pavement.
